Need to Enhanced internal Security at the National Assembly

The  House of Representatives  on Tuesday raised concern over growing security threats to the  National Assembly , including a terrorist threat to bomb the legislative complex. Chairman of the House Committee on Internal Security, Hon. Garba Ibrahim Muhammad, disclosed this on Tuesday during a public hearing on a bill to establish the  Legislative Security Directorate , held at the National Assembly complex, Abuja. SENATE PLAN STRATEGIC WORK FOR THE PETROLEUM DOWNSTREAM SECTOR

The Senate through its committee on Petroleum (Downstream) ready to tackle challenges confronting the downstream petroleum sector. The Chairman Committee on Petroleum, Sen. Kawu Sumaila made this known in a statement to newsmen in Abuja. He said that the trouble shooting efforts being made were pursuant to resolutions from its recent retreat and in line with its Strategic Action Work plan for the sub sector. Distinguished Senator Sumaila specifically stated that investigative hearing shall be carried out by the committee to dissect all the problems and proffer solutions to them.
