National Online Media Forum Inaugurates Kano State Chapter Kano, Nigeria –



The National Online Media Forum (NOMF), Abuja has officially inaugurated Alhaji Abubakar Garba Isa as the Chairman of its Kano State Chapter, marking a significant milestone in the Forum’s expansion across Nigeria.

The inauguration ceremony, held at No. 10 Kanoma Ali Road Crescent, Nasarawa GRA, Kano, was attended by representatives from various reputable online media organizations who came to witness and support the new leadership. Notable media platforms present at the event included ATP Hausa, Jannat Online TV Kano, Yabayan 24 Online, AG TV Online, Za'iz Online, Kakaki Online, Tracker Online, Reality News TV (Kano Office), Zalo TV Online, among others.

In his remarks, Mr. Umar Lawal Funtua, the National President of the Forum, expressed confidence in Alhaji Abubakar Garba Isa’s leadership, describing him as a seasoned professional with a track record of integrity, dedication, and commitment to ethical journalism. He noted that the appointment was in recognition of his contributions to the advancement of digital media in Kano State and beyond.

“As Chairman, we expect you to promote unity and collaboration among members, uphold the values of the Forum, and work towards enhancing the impact of online journalism within the state,” Mr. Funtua stated.

In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Abubakar Garba Isa expressed gratitude for the trust reposed in him by the National Executive Council and pledged to lead with transparency, vision, and a strong commitment to media professionalism.

The event also served as a networking opportunity for digital journalists and media professionals across the state, reinforcing the growing influence of online media as a powerful tool for public engagement, information dissemination, and accountability.

The inauguration marks a new chapter in the Forum’s commitment to strengthening grassroots media structures and fostering a community of ethical, innovative, and impactful digital journalists across Nigeria.
